UJI FITOKIMIA DAN BIOAKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOL
BATANG SECANG (Caesalpinia sappan Linn) TERHADAP
LARVA UDANG (Artemia salina L.)
Caesalpinia sappan Linn is one of medicine plants located in East Kalimantan. The medicine plant is used for diabetes, tumor, and bilge medicine and anti aging. Bioactivity testing with BSLT method is used to understand its activity towards cells.
The purpose of this research is to know secondary metabolit compound from secang stem (Caesalpinia sappan Linn) and to define lethal concentracion (LC50) of secang stem (Caesalpinia sappan Linn) ethanol extract towards larva udang (Artemia salina L.).
This research is based on determination, sample preparation and laboratorium research e.g. maseration, consentration, phytochemistry test and bioactivity test with BSLT method. Consentrated ethanol can be used for bioactivity testing to larva udang (Artemia salina L.) after extracted.
On the extraction process of 250 grams secang stem powder that has been macerated with ethanol, 9 grams and brown color of concentrated extract is get. Positive secondary metabolite compound that is found in secang stem (alkaloid, triterpenoid, flavonoid, saponin and phenolic). The value of lethal concentracion (LC50) to larva udang (Artemia salina L.) is 107,9753 ppm.
